Celebrating 30 Years

For thirty years, teachers and schools have learned a lot about devising and implementing successful TY programmes. In a system that places great focus on final exams, Transition Year gives students the space to explore, grow, work as part of a team, think about their identity, and become active citizens. We are delighted to mark this milestone with our National TY Event.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the TY Show 2026, taking place at the Curragh Racecourse, Co. Kildare, on Wednesday 30th September 2026.

As Ireland’s National Transition Year Event, the TY Show will bring together exhibitors from across Ireland — along with international participants — for an inspiring day of opportunities, ideas, and experiences for TY students and their teachers.

We will feature organisations promoting apprenticeships, career advice, mental and physical wellbeing support, college courses, hobbies, volunteering, studying abroad, and anything else that can benefit Irish students.

Get ready for a vibrant showcase of innovation, creativity, and inspiration as we welcome 5,000 students eager to explore, engage, and discover the opportunities that await them at the TY Show.

Alongside them, we look forward to welcoming 250 dedicated teachers, whose guidance and support play such an important role in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
